Student Support Lead

The Student Support Lead at E2 Academy plays a key role in promoting a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered environment by providing both proactive and responsive support across the school community. As the primary SOS contact during crisis situations, they draw on MANDT training to safely and respectfully support students in moments of dysregulation, working to restore emotional safety. They also oversee the daily administration of medications. This role involves developing and updating individualized proactive and reactive behavior plans to guide staff in effectively supporting each student's unique needs. The Student Support Lead works closely with consulting professionals, such as the Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, to ensure continuity of therapeutic support. Additionally, they lead data tracking and reporting efforts required by Alberta Education..

Neurodiversity Coordinator

The Neurodiversity Coordinator’s role is to find and develop strategies that staff can use to help students find success both academically and socially. They work with both students and teachers to determine potential difficulties and determine which supports would work best for both staff and students. They also work with the school multi disciplinary team to integrate best practices into the classroom while supporting curricular achievement.
